I had to reorganize the closet yesterday to make room for some very welcome tan additions!
I can't believe that mark graduates this Friday. Even four weeks ago it seemed this day would never come. It is hard to put into words how proud I am of Mark for completing this process. Twenty six weeks ago I knew we were starting a long tough road. I did not know the magnitude it would test him or me. After much blood, sweat, and tears (as well as a few scarred knuckles) it is over! I am so excited to pin his badge on him this Friday. He certainly deserves this honor.
I also want to thank all of our family and friends who supported us through this process. Your prayers and encouraging words (and even dinners!) helped us get through the tough weeks. I do not believe I could have done this on my own. I am so fortunate to have had a network of people backing me up and encouraging me.
So let's get this graduation week started!!

Bodega Bay Trip
I just got back from an uber relaxing trip to Bodega Bay. It was four days of R&R spent with an amazing friend. Here are some pictures from my trip:
The deck off the house. This shows how close to Highway 1 we were.
These are the super cool windows in the living room. The house had mid century modern architecture. I can't complain about the view either!
We went wine tasting at Gourmet Au Bay.
And had dinner at The Tides Restaurant.
This gull landed right outside the window during dinner! We were hoping he wasn't one of the extras from "The Birds."
As Jocelyn tells me, it is Bodega Bay style to have perfect, sunny, blue sky weather the day you leave!
This was such a great trip. It was a perfect way for us to celebrate our birthdays, and big life changes happening to us both.

Blogging in Style
Mark decided to give me my birthday presents a little early this year. Next weekend we will be busy with the move so tonight seemed like a better option. One gift was this fabulous iPad case! I can now blog in style :)
In other style news: Mark finally got the OK to stop shaving his had and start growing out his hair. Bye-Bye clippers!

April, oh April
April, oh April. I've been anticipating your arrival. You bring good things I've been waiting for so long:
new homes
and birthdays,
trips to the coast
and graduations.
Most importantly, you are the start of a new chapter in our lives.
I am so happy you are here, April.
